About Us

David James McLaughlin was born and raised in Colorado where he currently resides with his wife and two children. While David grew up doing construction projects around the house and assisting others, his career in electrical started with a degree in Construction Management at Colorado State University ("CSU"). At CSU he learned about all aspects of the construction industry but developed a true passion for the electrical trade. After college, David worked for a Commercial Electrical Contractor while he attended and completed Electrical Apprenticeship school. It was during that time he decided to start performing both commercial and residential work on the side. He moved up quickly in his career eventually working as a Project Manager in both the electrical and General Contractor space as well as in Facilities Management. His extensive work experience eventually allowed him to establish David James Electric where he has now enjoyed over 10 years of electrical service for the greater Denver community. David enjoys the hands-on and problem-solving aspect of his work but, most importantly, enjoys helping others achieve their electrical project visions all the while creating everlasting relationships. When not cutting wires and making things light up, David enjoys playing hockey and enjoying the great outdoors of Colorado with his family.
